I finally got up the courage, after many failed attempts to find a suitable alternative and bought these two online last week. I bought the Orange corrector which is supposed to be good for dark under-eye circles and Classic Ivory.
I wasn't so bothered about the orange corrector because it would always be the colour I expected but the concealer worried me. So, because of my easter european heritage and my inability to tan, I am usually a very pale yellow/green colour so I look permanently unwell and bruised. As you can imagine, it is extremely hard to find a foundation and concealer that accurately match my skin colour without being too tan or too pink in tone.
HOWEVER, this concealer, although quite pink, has turned in my favour because (if I remember what the make-up artist at MAC told me when I went for a match correctly) pink often counteracts blue pigment in the skin. So this orange corrector for dark circles, combined with this concealer with pink pigments in it, actually work as the perfect duo for me!
Needless to say, I'm completely in love with the thick consistency and I've been told that these are crease-free but only time will tell with my eye bags the way that they are.
Now the MAC ProLongwear in NC15 did quite a good job but wasn't staying put at ALL on my face and the L'Oreal True Match in 1.5 N Linen was a good match but the consistency is too runny for my liking. The ProLongwear was a little darker than I would have liked initially and the True Match was a LITTLE too light, HOWEVER, mixed together they create a perfect match to my skin and then with the addition of this NUUXE 'Huile Prodigieuse' beauty oil, I am set with a dewy, moisturising base that matches perfectly and stays on all day without fail!
To add to this, I've just ordered one of those make-up brushes that look like a large toothbrush so I'm hoping that it might help with the application but if all else fails I'm going back to a flat foundation brush and beauty blender I think!
That's all for today guys but if you want to see these two practices melded into one look, check out my Dewey Natural Look on YouTube (will be uploaded today)!
