Now this blog isn't one I've given myself regular deadlines for, but I wanted to at least post twice a month so that you had regular content to leaf through and I thought that would take some of the pressure off me to write. That being said, as mentioned before I have been super busy!
We had a mammouth visit at work and I've been preparing a lot for that and my work, although many of you might think otherwise, is seriously time consuming and when I get home from my shift, I don't always feel like writing.
So theres that and then theres almost all my families birthdays too.
The other, rather major, reason that I haven't been that active online or on this blog is that I had a bilateral breast reduction, courtesy of the NHS, a week ago. Okay, so that doesn't excuse missing a whole month of prospective blog but I was a little preoccupied with being scared out of my mind.
Needless to say, the surgery was a success and after struggling with the side effects of 5 different pain medications and a two days and a night in hospital, I'm finally feeling normal again. Today was the first time in a week I was able to go outside and take a walk in the park and it was the best feeling!
So I'm not one for being shy about my body and as much as I would like to bare my new self to the world, I'm going to keep this blog nudity free (excluding ofc tasteful, artistic nudes if the need ever arises). Instead I will just talk a little about the surgery as it's something a lot of my friends, family and followers on social media were interested to know about.
My breasts weighed about a kg each, which is about a bag of sugar per boob. Now thats quite a lot for someone who is a size 8 and thats part of the reason why I was granted funding for the surgery on the NHS. If it wasn't for that funding the surgery would have cost me £5,856... which is a LOT of money for someone who earns as little as I do.
The surgery itself was a little under 3 hours long and I was put under general anaesthetic for the operation. The experience of the anaesthetic was as if I'd been asleep for 30 seconds and afterwards I felt almost normal, with minimal, if not, no pain.
They removed between 180-200 grams of fat/ tissue from each breast and gave them a lift too so that my back could better handle the weight of my new boobs. That is something I have always struggled with so having no back pain is something I'm looking forward to greatly!
So, in light of how I would be housebound and practically bedridden for a couple of weeks, I decided to make a purchase which I have been putting off for a while because I've never had as much money as I have had now.
I bought an iPad Mini First Gen and got an amazing discount thanks to my boyfriend who happens to workin the store I purchased it from :3 I couldn't be happier with it and even full price it's an amazing deal!
